Colleen Reichmann, Psychologist at Wildflower Therapy

PSYCHOLOGIST, PRACTICE FOUNDER

Dr. Colleen Reichmann, (she/ her)

Hello there! My name is Dr. Colleen Reichmann. I am a licensed clinical psychologist, and the founder of Wildflower Therapy LLC. I have experience across all levels of eating disorders care, and am incredibly passionate about this work. I also specialize in depression, anxiety, college student-specific mental health, infertility, IVF support, and maternal mental health. I love seeing people across the age spectrum, from high school students, to young adults, to middle aged and beyond. All ages are welcome here.

I draw from evidenced-based theories such as CBT and DBT, as well as feminist theory- and I implement Health at Every Size principles in my therapy. Additionally, I believe that the “deeper level work” typically involves identifying and processing systemic social and environmental aspects of our relationships with food and our bodies.

I did not *ahem* thrive in college (to put it lightly). Because of my own rough history during those years, I have so much empathy for the specific struggles that college students face. I know what it’s like to feel hopeless, and to have to sit across from a very serious older man who gazes over his glasses and asks question after “how does that make you feel” question instead of talking to you like a human. So I have made it my mission to make therapy a different experience for you. Our time together will feel safe, we will laugh together, and you WILL feel seen.

In my work with mothers, I focus on fostering a space that feels safe to share their most secret and painful thoughts- this includes mothers of children who are no longer here on earth, folks who are mothers in their hearts without a child, and mothers of living children of all ages. I want all mothers to know that they do not have to feel hopeless or alone- and I help them to step into their authentic selves and release comparisons. I also have a very specific speciality area of supporting mothers of neurodivergent children.

Important things for you to know: I am a Philadelphia enthusiast. I am a big fan of bangs, baking, and the color mustard yellow. I have two dogs, Ollie and Zooey (who are also more thanhappy to make an appearance during our sessions). I have a son named Ezra, and a daughter named Marigold - the hardest and absolute best parts of my life.

Samantha Palmer, Therapist at Wildflower Therapy

THERAPIST

Samantha Palmer, LPC (she/her)

Hi everyone! I’m Sam, a professional counselor who offers a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to discover and embrace your truest self. I utilize a person-centered, strength-based, and direct approach to therapy. I consider the importance of all aspects of one’s identity and how that plays a role in the therapeutic relationship. I earned my Master’s degrees in Counseling and Mental Health Services as well as Professional Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania.

I am a HAES-aligned therapist who specializes in treating individuals with eating disorders and body image concerns as well as substance misuse. I also have experience working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, personality disorders, and relationship difficulties. I work with adolescents, adults, and families. And, as a former collegiate rower, I have a true passion for working with athletes.

In my free time, I enjoy ignoring the advice of TLC, and chasing waterfalls with my black Lab, Nike, as well as hiking, biking, and scuba diving. I am also known to embark on sweet adventures in the kitchen, baking my signature chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon rolls.

THERAPIST

Zia Klein, LCSW (she/her)

Hi, I’m Zia! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in OCD, trauma, and maternal mental health.

I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh. I am a HAES-aligned, social justice-informed clinician who is greatly passionate about creating a safe place for the people I work with to share their story- the good, the bad, the hard to talk about- all of you is welcome with me. (If you can’t tell, I deeply believe the foundation of therapy is creating a trusting and loving place to land.)

I have a special interest in working with pregnant folks and mothers-maternal mental health is my passion. I also really love supporting people who have been through birth trauma, and have witnessed how compassionate, educated, and focused therapy after birth trauma can set a trajectory of deep healing into motion.

Above all else, I believe in the power of allowing ourselves to need, to take up space, and tell our story. “If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can’t survive.”- Sonya Renee Taylor.

When I am not at work, I enjoy nurturing a present and playful relationship with my 5-year-old daughter and surrounding myself with a loving support network of friends and family. I also believe it is deeply important that I create time for restorative & rejuvenating practices that care for my full self, such as buying flowers, reading, and bopping around my hometown, Pittsburgh. I look forward to connecting with you!

Ilana Levin, Psychologist at Wildflower Therapy

PSYCHOLOGIST, POSTDOCTORAL SUPERVISOR

Dr. Ilana Levin, (she/her)

Hi, I’m Dr. Ilana Levin! I’m a therapist whose practice is grounded in fostering a welcoming, non-judgmental, secure, and empowering environment for my clients. I specialize in eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, OCD, mood disorders, and personality disorders. I am trained in Family-Based Therapy (FBT) and have experience working with folks across the lifespan, beginning with children, adolescents, young adults, and beyond. I believe the act of seeking treatment is an act of brave vulnerability which I view as a privilege to get to hold space for and support.

As an advocate of the Health at Every Size (HAES) approach, I blend evidence-based treatments with a highly individualized approach, respecting each person’s unique journey. I am especially passionate about extending my services to folks of diverse backgrounds, aiming to incorporate a culturally sensitive and informed approach. My experience extends to working with various minority communities, particularly the LQBTQIA+ and Jewish communities. Ultimately, I believe you are the expert of your experience and I’ll bring my expertise to help you achieve your goals in a supportive and collaborative manner.

A little more for you to get to know me- I was born and raised in the Baltimore, Maryland area but I have been a true Philly girl since moving here in 2017. When I say this city has stolen my heart, I mean it has truly stolen my heart. I’m a big fan of nature, especially anything related to water, an absolute coffee enthusiast, and love spending time with my loved ones. I look forward to connecting and getting to know more about you!

THERAPIST, POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW

Dr. Yvette Karvay, (she/her)

Hi there! I’m Dr. Yvette Karvay, a therapist who specializes in eating disorders, disordered eating, body image, and trauma. I have experience working with children, teens, adults, families, and also couples! I’m also a Health at Every Size (HAES)-aligned therapist, as well as a first-generation college/graduate student. So please know that my approach is grounded in cultural humility and a practice of being a life-long learner.

I have trained in a variety of evidence-based practices (CBT, FBT, and PE, just to name a few) as well as relational psychodynamic therapy. But in terms of what this means for you- my style is warm and conversational- I’m a human first, then a therapist. I’m also a bit of a contradiction (actually I prefer the term “enigma”)- gentle in certain ways, but also love my dark humor and sarcasm (born and raised in New York, what can I say?) I also have my own experience of recovering from an eating disorder, and so have a good amount of experience sitting in the patient’s chair. Because of this, I have SO much respect for the bravery it takes to ask for help when you need it.

Non-therapist-y things to know about me: I love thrifting, romance novels, and crafting up a storm- aka, knitting something without a pattern, sewing an outfit out of a thrifted tablecloth, or painting some squiggles (self-proclaimed type B crafter over here). I believe that crafting is a beautiful way to sit in the process of making a mess and making sense of the mess to end up with a piece of art-sometimes impressive, sometimes silly, sometimes deeply moving. As a psychologist, I bring this same idea into my work with you - bring me the messy, the confusing, and the shameful; we can make sense of it together to support you in crafting the life you’re hopeful to live within.

Casey Harvey, Therapist at Wildflower Therapy

THERAPIST

Casey Harvey, LCSW (she/her)

Hi there!  I’m Casey, a Licensed Clinical Social worker who specializes in treating eating disorders across the spectrum-including specialized training in anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating.  I also work with body image concerns, OCD, anxiety, depression, and substance misuse.  I work with individuals of all ages, and I am deeply passionate about working with families affected by eating disorders (and am trained in Family-Based Therapy - FBT). There is healing power in connecting with each other!

My style is very direct, and very warm-I’ll always give it to you straight…but in a loving, older sister kind of way, ya know? I am a true social worker deep at heart. So our work will include exploring your experiences (including your family of origin, childhood, and relationships) in the context of this challenging world. I feel so strongly that therapy should feel like a safe, connected place for people to explore their story and identity.

While I have experiences with many types of therapy, nothing makes me passionate quite like talking about values. And if you’re not sure what yours are right now, or how to really live by them, you’re in the right place! We will work on connecting you with your deepest values in the service of YOUR most meaningful life.

When I am not working, I am totally the person who cries at dog videos on the internet. No surprise, I am the proud mom of a rescue dog, and an avid shelter volunteer. I love adding to my cookbook collection, watching sitcoms, and cheering for all Pittsburgh-based sports teams.

THERAPIST

Erika Zaslow, LPC (she/her)

Hi, I’m Erika! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in helping people heal from eating disorders, body image concerns, anxiety, and trauma. I love working with teens, college students, and young adults (You all keep me on point with my gen z lingo game, thank you for your service.) I also specialize in helping people who struggle with perfectionism. High achiever? Eldest daughter? Your own worst critic, always? Come on in, you are my people!

As a HAES-aligned therapist, I deeply believe that our worth is NOT determined by our weight, shape, or size. I am ready to stand by your side and help you to challenge food rules, quiet that inner critic, and build a more compassionate relationship with yourself. My approach is real, conversational, trauma-informed, and draws from the research-backed methods of CBT, DBT, ACT.

A little more about me- I was born and raised in the Philadelphia area and have never found a reason to leave! I love sushi and mexican food, and when I’m not in the therapy room, I’m probably on a mission to find the best coffee shop. I’m a recovering people pleaser, and someone who deeply understands how hard it can feel to be a woman with a body in this society- I’m ready to help you fight for the right to exist in yours more peacefully. And I hold so much hope that you can get there.

THERAPIST, POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW

Dr. Brooke Schleyer, (she/her)

Hi, I’m Dr. Brooke Schleyer! Therapist, professional BMI-hater, rock-climber, ADHDer, and dog mom. I specialize in eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, and mood disorders. I also have a lot of experience working with individuals experiencing trauma, insomnia, chronic pain, and those with military experience.

In terms of what it’s like to have me as your therapist: I’m warm yet direct, down to earth, and present-focused. I like to draw from evidence-based theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy-but am always down to get creative and tailor my approach to what YOU are needing. And, importantly, as someone who has ADHD myself, I am also proudly neurodivergent affirming-in the therapy space and beyond.

I’m a strong believer in Health at Every Size (HAES), and am passionate about helping people break up with diet culture. I especially love working with people who struggle with binge eating, or those who have a complex relationship with exercise-helping people to slowly carve out new relationships with movement (that are not dictated by weight loss, body image, or punishment) is my jam.

A little more about me – I was born and raised in NJ , which means I have VERY strong opinions on bagels and pizza, but have been a Philly convert since moving here in 2020. I love rock climbing, listening to audiobooks (dystopian novels, anyone?), being cozy at home, watching maybe too much TV, and spending as much time as humanly possible with my dog Archie.

Maria Palermo, Therapist at Wildflower Therapy

Maria Palermo, MA (she/her)

Hi, I’m Maria! I’m a pre-licensed therapist who specializes in treating eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image issues. I also have experience treating teens and adults who are navigating depression, anxiety, identity-related challenges, self-harm, substance misuse, and life transitions. With dual Master’s degrees in Counseling and International Peace and Conflict Resolution, I emphasize looking at the whole person and how their environment and culture shape their identity and experiences. I utilize trauma-informed and evidence-based practices- recognizing that healing is not one-size-fits-all!

As a member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, I strive to support teens and adults in this community by providing a safe, gender-affirming, and understanding space for exploration and celebration. I’m passionate about working with people from all marginalized groups, especially by incorporating my extensive background in social systems and international affairs to provide support to refugees, asylum-seekers, immigrants, and first-generation Americans.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing happens through authentic connection. Whether you're struggling with food and body image, emotional distress, or are seeking clarity in your identity and relationships, therapy with me is centered on what matters most to YOU. No matter who you are or what you’re going through, you are welcome here - just as you are.

When I’m not working, you can find me snuggling with my three rescue animals (a pit bull, yorkie-poo, and a Philly street cat) and watching (terrible) shows. If I’m not doing this, I’m most likely watching Philly sports games (“Go Birds!”), listening to audiobooks, hiking with my wife and dogs, or nerding out over sharks, proper spelling/grammar, and sociopolitical issues.
